Kraak & Smaak
Kraak & Smaak, the Dutch trio of Oscar de Jong, Wim Plug, and Mark Kneppers, have built a successful international career as producers, DJs, and live performers. Known for their warm, uplifting blend of disco, funk, electronic, indie, house, soul, and pop, they broke through with their debut album Boogie Angst, which led to performances at major festivals across Europe and the U.S., including SXSW and Coachella.
Their 2008 album Plastic People and hit single “Squeeze Me” brought wider international attention, landing them spots at Glastonbury, Lowlands, Sziget, and a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Over the years, they released several acclaimed albums, collaborating with artists like Parcels, Romanthony, Lee Fields, and Mayer Hawthorne, while cementing their status as a top-tier live act at events like Detroit Movement and Exit Festival.
In 2023, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with a special compilation album Twenty and a series of shows. Their current 6-piece live band delivers a genre-spanning, high-energy performance. Kraak & Smaak has also just released their 7th studio album, Velvet Seas, that was released October 2025.
